Benne Anderson, a senior at Grand Rapids Ottawa Hills in Michigan, placed ninth in the boys championship race at Nike Cross Nationals at Glendoveer Golf Course in Oregon. Anderson covered the 5-kilometer layout in 14:57.2 to earn All-America honors, one of two male competitors from Michigan to achieve the feat, along with 10th-place finisher Hunter Jones of Benzie Central.
